I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief. I treat individuals, couples, families, and children. I provide trauma informed psychotherapy specifically with Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), a evidence based practice that treats a variety of trauma symptoms and much more. I provide school based mindfulness integration consultation (SBMIC) for local schools and youth programs who are interested in expert consultation for staff as well as direct formal mindfulness instruction in small groups. See my services page for details. For more information about the materials and core curriculum used for SBMIC please go to my resources page.

If you are tired of old patterns that leave you feeling stuck in the same place over and over and you are considering psychotherapy, give me a call or email. Purchasing material comforts might make you happy temporarily, but what if you could have a more sustainable contentment that does not waver with the wind? What if you were able to feel more grounded more often so that you can deal with challenging situations effectively according to your terms? These are things that psychotherapy can offer.

I offer a free 20 minute introductory phone consultation to hear more about my services so feel free to call and find out more about me over the phone. 925 876-1329 or email dan@danmaincounseling.com with a good time for me to call you.
