Payment
All major credit cards accepted via Ivy Pay, a secure HIPAA-compliant payment platform. Payment is collected at the time of each session.
Dan does not bill insurance directly. However, many clients successfully use their out-of-network benefits to get partial reimbursement for sessions.

A superbill is an itemized receipt that includes the billing codes insurers need to process a reimbursement claim. Dan provides superbills through Ivy Pay. You submit the superbill to your insurance company, and they reimburse you directly — often at 40–80% of the session cost, depending on your plan.

Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask: "What are my out-of-network mental health benefits? Do I have a deductible, and has it been met? What percentage do you reimburse after the deductible?" Most plans with out-of-network benefits will reimburse a meaningful portion of the fee.

Working outside of insurance means your care is not dictated by diagnostic requirements or session limits. Dan can focus entirely on what's therapeutically right for you — not on what a plan will authorize. Your records also remain fully private and are not accessible to insurers.
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before beginning services. This estimate will include the anticipated cost of your treatment based on the services discussed.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the charges. For more information, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
Dan is happy to provide a written Good Faith Estimate upon request before your first session. Just ask.
If fees are a barrier, contact Dan directly. He'll be honest about what's possible and help you figure out the best path forward.
